OK, I'm running into a dilemma here with wearing a ruck and an LBV at the same time.
To wear the ruck and the LBV together you can't have anything on the LBV that gets in the way of the shoulder straps, sternum strap, or hip belt of the ruck. This is pretty limiting space wise of the LBV. Being a small guy the best I have come up with is simply mag pouches, a compass pouch, and an IFAK on the LBV in order to still wear the ruck.
So... what do you or would you do? Pack the LBV in the ruck for comfort? Or stick to a limited load out on the LBV?

You may want to consider ditching both the LBV and the ruck and consolidate with something like this: www.511tactical.com/All-Products/Bags-Backpacks/Backpacks/MultiCam-RUSH-72-Backpack.htmlI use the 72, DW uses the 24. The molle compatible webbing effectively allows you to customize for the items you would normally put on the LBV. That's what we have done. Your mileage may vary.

That's very similar to the day back I have. Maybe I should have been more specific when I said ruck. I'm talking a full sized frame pack (ILBE). I don't have the issues with the LBV/daypack that I do with the ILBE.

Prior to that ugly incident with the gypsy circus monkeys, I did. Since then the gooberment has assured me I need no arms, and all will be well.

This worked for me back before I was relieved of worries by the GCM.

Good thing u kept pics..what position is it mounted? It was on the left hand waist strap for a right handed cross draw. The extra mags you see would have then been available for a left handed reload. Sad really, D*** thieving monkeys....

I was wondering about the ugly incident he mentioned above. Thought maybe something bad happened recently. GCM does describe a good percentage of the low lifes (and politicians) out there.
Mike, take a look at the Eberlestock Gunslinger model. It has good Molle we bing and you can pack your long gun too. Just a thought. They are pricey though

With beady eyes and a honker for a nose like that, they can't be up to any good...

GCMs are also fearful of anyone with weapons training through the military; especially via experience in elite units.

I don't have the issues with the LBV/daypack that I do with the ILBE. Hmm. Are you attaching the daypack to the main ILBE or is the daypack for something else? If the two are together, then what I liked to do while on AD was strap on the LBV around the daypack. If it's just the main ILBE, then perhaps some MOLLE straps that snap together would be good.
