It helps answering questions to know the general geographic location. Obviously answers to you can omit things specific to tundra, rainforest, desert etc.

Welcome from upstate New York. I have a rule at my house, if you see a snake you are expected to kill it.

Welcome from upstate New York. I have a rule at my house, if you see a snake you are expected to kill it. At mine, its run screaming for the shovel or hubby if he's closer! XD Edit = @cwi - sadly I only know of one other near me that can help with any questions I have. Most of what I know feels like common sense, but there are somethings that just flat baffle me (like eating a snake - saw it once on a naked and afraid show) Totally grossed out, but in that position I would be hungry for anything too.

As I read your posts in other threads, one of the beauties of new members is they read really old posts in their 'research' and bring them forward again allowing us old timers the chance to read them again (and makes me miss those that aren't around here anymore). Thanks
Don't use geography necessarily as a marker on who is close. You'll find we are all closer than you know. :-).

Most here can answer questions. BTW, the 'naked and afraid' show should be 'the naked and stupid' show. I would venture to say that any question you could ask from prepping to physics to spiritual matters, someone here can answer them. Give it a try.

HAHAHA, thats very true. I cant see myself running around with just a knife and no clothes. I've found so man good things that I didnt even think about from some of the posts. Almost makes me wanna go test some of it on my next camping expedition. So many useful things.
