It won't get over a G3 at current and predicted levels. The grid is in no danger until it gets into strong G4 to G5 levels. Currently it's rated G2.

What can no longer be predicted is the strength of the interstellar stream which is currently around 2 LD away.

If people were informed rather than sheltered, if they were taught critical thinking skills, if they knew the world through their own eyes instead of the media proxy, the country would be a much safer place.
