I should probably recuse myself from this one. Spending that many years as a race mechanic I think I could literally build an entire livable planet out of solely using duct tape! ;D

It has been used for many things it was NEVER designed to do...such as strapping to hold 2x4's on top of a truck rack...It was not me...but I pulled up right beside it!!!!

During my stay at my niece's house for Isaac I made an emergency repair with duct tape. Their house has ceiling to floor windows. The airconditioner we used had a bit of age on it. One year old got attracted to its wings and started playing with them and busted one open. My nephew used one whole strip of duct tape to seal it up and his daughter went right behind him and pulled it off. I went outside to the garbage can and pulled out a beer carton and started tearing into wide strips. Brought this inside, grabbed the roll of duct tape and proceeded to tape it over both wings for extra measure. By the time I finished she had nothing in her reach to pull down on. Done deal!

Used it on nephew on hike as ace-wrap on sprained ankle . Worked great. Used D.T. in EDC to fix busted water line on big truck. Finished 450 mile run and still holding strong.

Treat hot spots while hiking, closed up a nasty cut onetime, etc. . . . I could go on and on and on.

Used it once to make an old worn out boat plug a little larger in diameter so that the boat would stop taking on water!!!
