Woo-hoo for the one-year celebratin'! ;D
I pray she realizes she's too good for someone who would even consider striking her.

I'm sure there were some rough times but both of you together accomplished this very important milestone. Once again congratulations.

Great! You have a right to boast people who have never been addicted to something can't understand how hard it is to stop.
So boast away and give a big hug. This type of post where she can see you brag to other people about her and where she see's other people happy for you and for her is a big motivator to keep doing it.
Here is wishing all the good she can take.

When is the wedding? Never I hope! He doesn't deserve her. Excellent response on her part. She needs to kick him on down the road and let the good people around her know she is now available.
My step father did 3 years in prison, he was the strongest and the best fighter I have ever known. The people who make trouble in the world were afraid of him but once in a while 4 or 5 at a time would try him. In all the times I saw him fight he never lost. Broken jaw from a tire iron, broken ribs from a 2x4 but never lost a fight and never used anything but his hands. I only saw him drunk one time after my Mother had threatened to leave him. He was drunk, crying and begging her not to.
So here is my point. He was the toughest man I have ever known, and he never hit us kid or my Mother or any woman, ever. He was 6'4", his Mother might have been 5'. But I saw her make him bend down many times so she could slap him if she thought he needed slapped.
Although everyone was afraid of him it mad some kids want to pick on me so they could brag on beating up his son. It took me several years to figure out the only way they were going to stop was for me to fight back. I did not need to win, and I don't think I could have then. I had to make fighting me harder than fighting someone else. So every time I made my loss to them harder and harder on them. And if out matched or out numbered I used school books, bricks, boards what ever it took.
He may know he has her in a fair fight but when she came back willing to catch him by surprise and hurt him he understood over powering her was no longer an option. Great

On May 11th, 2012, my 22 year old daughter celebrated her 1 year anniversary of being clean from all drugs and alcohol!! For celebration, she wanted to go fishing and have a BBQ. Here is her with one of the bass she caught in Jims pond. For food I made smoked ribbs, grilled burgers, homemade tater salad, homemade macaroni salad, homemade slaw, homemade baked beans, homemade bread, homemade peach cobbler with ice cream and a few other things. She went clean on her own. Thank you to all who kept her in your prayers and good thoughts! ------------------------------------------------ So proud of your daughter, Dink. This is a big milestone. Nice catch, too! O.S. ;D I just wanted to post and boast about how good my baby girl is doing!!
