The only question I pose is, do you plan on acquiring a lot of powder (whether black or smoke-less depending on muzzleloader)?
I don't believe you will be coming across a lot of people storing up power or carrying it around if they are bugging out. Plus depending on your ignition sources (if using percussion caps, not flint lock) those won't be just lying around everywhere. I believe most can come up with a bullet to use and some sort of wad.
So my basic point would be, wouldn't it be more beneficial to load up on more ammo for your non muzzle-loading guns? Instead of loading up on everything for a muzzleloader.
(On a side note, I do use inline muzzleloaders to hunt with but they would not be my first choice in a get up and get out moment.)

My muzzle loader supplies are built around using Pyrodex rs. I was lucky enough a couple of years back when the hurricane hit south Texas to get a wealth of surplus ammo and powder from a surplus resale place here locally. They had Pyrodex for $4.00 a pound, OMG right? Also all their ammo was 2/3 off. What I am wondering from those who shoot flint locks, is will they work with Pyrodex? Some places said no. Because of the higher flash point in the pan. I was hoping W.C. or some one who shoots them would chime in. you can make black powder they have for a long time that is why flint lock and one pound of powder goes a long way I know it can be made, but how easy is it going to be to find all the necessary ingredients?
