From the mailman today.. my new four person tent, two canoe seats, katadyn water filter and extra cartridge, ultimate survival all weather lighter and peanut keychain lighter arrived AND I bought a Walther P22 pistol, barrel extender, two mags for $330 that might have had a box of ammo run through it. He also has a taurus tracker, SS matte finish 6" ported bbl, 7 shot .357 mag for $390.. a box of 38 and .357 shot through it I'm considering.. anyone have suggestions or comments on this gun?

I'd say that is a pretty good price on that taurus as long as it's not in too rough of a condition.

I think it will be close to new.. he said he's only fired 100 rounds through it. I bought the Walther from him today and it was still in the box and looked like it hadn't been fired. He told me he might have fired a box of ammo through it.

I have one albeit with a 4" barrel that I love. Recoil is minimal, should be even less with two more inches of barrel. Accuracy is great, so far the best I've done it make 4 shots touch with the other 3 very close at 10 yards. The 6" barrel also has the option of mounting a scope. I like Am. Eagle 130gr FMJ in .38's and Magtech 158gr SP in .357's. Both rounds run clean and with great accuracy in the gun. A company called HKS even has a speedloader for it! (~$10 a pop) I got mine for $390 used, thing looked brand now. I really wanted one, got one, and am very happy with it. It may be a Taurus, but it's a Taurus revolver, and it's quite hard to screw up a revolver.

That is funny as heck Thywar...out of thousands of used guns over the years, I have never bought one that had" over a box of shells run through it". LOL A little old lady shot it on sunday after church. I am sure it is fine, but that is funny. The only time I really believed them was when it was a 44 mag, or a 454. They usually come with a partial box of shells missing 3 or 4 rounds. We need to go out and test them. I think it will be close to new.. he said he's only fired 100 rounds through it. I bought the Walther from him today and it was still in the box and looked like it hadn't been fired. He told me he might have fired a box of ammo through it.

Yeah I hear what you're saying.. but if you'd met this guy you'd really believe he hadn't shot either gun very much. The reason the Walther had the barrel extension was 'because everyone said it was the best way to buy the gun' and he didn't know how to operate it very well. He didn't know if it had come with the short barrel and if it had he didn't know where it was.. It shoots good though.. so that's why I'm considering the Taurus.. BTW I took it by Williams and they said it looked new and if I wanted the short barrel it would run me about $80.

Thought you were gonna send that package to me for product testing! Great early Shristmas! Nice selection! Let me know what you think of the water filter...I am thinking of getting one, just not sure which one to get...money is a roadblock...which one did you get and how much do the replacement filters run?

Good for you! Since no one mentioned it, I'd like to hear more about the tent.

Good for you! Since no one mentioned it, I'd like to hear more about the tent. I bought it through Bass Pro and was going to give you the link to it but it says it no longer exists or out of stock.. Since it's a new tent they carry I assume it's out of stock. It's normally $99.99 on sale for $59.97, four person 9 X 7 with a vestibule. Rain Fly cover. It's not a backpacking tent as it weighs 11 lbs. with 63 sq ft of floor space. 5' peak height inside.

Thanks TW, not shopping, was just wondering. I actually have three different sized tents, now if only we'd go camping again. No one seems to have the time anymore.
