CT will follow Wyoming's example on their Firearms Protection Act when elephants can fly. Too bad as this is the perfect time to follow CT's Constitution, Article I, Section 15, down to the t (Every citizen has a right to bear arms in defense of himself and the state).

Long story, but..................
My local Walmart folks stopped putting ammo aside for me after doing so for weeks. When I pushed the point, I got: "Come by here at 8:00 PM and watch what happens." I did - and I discovered that a particular individual shows up at 8:00 PM and stands at the ammo counter until the shipment comes in - which is every night around that time.
He immediately buys all of the popular incoming ammo, spending $1000. to $2000. every night. A little research showed me that he's reselling it in a local shop and online.
Tonight, I will be ahead of him in line. Let's see how this plays out.

I have bought from them in the past with good results. The prices are up, but not out of line like some are now.

Well, it turned out to be pretty simple:
The night guy who works in sporting goods lets his buddy know when a "good" shipment is coming in. The store gets a list of what is coming in around lunch time. His buddy shows up each night with his own list "of what he's looking for" which matches the incoming shipment each night. He gets bumped to the front of line.
The night guy working sporting goods didn't know what his district manager looks like, and he got real rude with me and put his buddy in line ahead of me. I feel bad for him because he looked like his world had ended when the DM asked for his boss by name.
Back in the front of the line, I bought Federal .223 55gr FMJ for Walmart's regular price of $35.00 per box of 100 and some American Eagle 50gr polymer tipped. They had 48 boxes left, so there was plenty to go around.
The same guy behind me bought ALL OF THE remaining ammo, including 7.62/.223/.40/9mm/.357/.22lr. He left with $1089. on his credit card and a smile on his face.
The district manager told me that they would likely re-institute a 10 box per person/per day limit that was standard a few years ago.

Nice, glad you got your ammo! +1 I hate people who buy ammo solely for the purpose of selling it at a higher price. I'm very pro-capitalism, but there's still right vs wrong. I think I'll go inquire at a local Wal Mart and find out if that's also happening.

Marc That sounds a lot like the night shift clerk was getting a kick back. The supervisor for sporting goods day shift at our local wally world doesn't do this. They get the same kind of list, but it does not get stocked at night, nor all at one time. I don't personally have a problem with it. We have no intention of resell, and long ago got what we considered needed.

It seems as though it is already rationed. I made a trip in WM last night, just to check, and as usual it was pretty much picked clean. They did have a few boxes of high brass 12 ga #5 shot. I nabbed that, leaving only steel shot, and a few boxes of the win. 100 packs of #8. There were still people looking for crumbs every where I went yesterday. Guess the party is about over?
