My Remington 700 ADL 30-06 has been with me since 1972 and we've been through a lot together. I've always wanted to change over to a BDL but was always reluctant because she's a tack driver. Any way got the parts off ebay and the stock is a Boyds I got from Brownells. I finished the stock with 12 coats of tung oil. I used Formby's satin finish.

Here are some before and after pics

Sure changes the look. I always liked the BDL version. Lately I have been buying the laminated stocks on all my Remingtons and Rugers. Nice job.

Nice job. If it shoots any less accurate after the upgrade, mrmike has already pinned down the cure for that. I'd definitely shoot it first to find out as it may not have made a difference or actually upgraded the accuracy depending on the fit of the stock. Either way, good job.

If people were informed rather than sheltered, if they were taught critical thinking skills, if they knew the world through their own eyes instead of the media proxy, the country would be a much safer place.
