OK, here's today's pocket dump.
Contents of my survival wallet:
• $100 Cash – never know when you might need it.
• Old credit card – makes a darn nice key when I’m locked out
• 4 Goody’s powders. (2 extra strength)
• Sting Relief Cream
• Antiboitic Cream
• Sun Screen
• Signal Mirror
• Red Duct tape – repair something, mark path, signal, etc.
• 3x3 guaze pad
• 4 bandaids
• BSA Flint & Steel (Matching set on my keyring)
• Candle
• Six Nato matches and striker
• 8”x8” tin foil can use to signal, mark trails, possible cook or boil water.
• Paper for tinder or to leave or take notes
• Wax paper for tinder
• 3 rubber bands, because this is bulky and helps keep the wallet closed, prevents theft and may have some use.
• Fresnel type lens for firestarting or looking at small stuff.
Other stuff in my pockets:
• Small roll of duct tape.
• Key ring with flint & steel and p38 opener
• Lip balm is good for clapped skin, lip balm and fire starter
• Purel, clean wounds, firestarter and hand sanitizer.
• Led Flashlight. It’s actually a cap flashlight
• Pedometer – I can pretty accurately gauge distance. I know that 2000 steps running is a mile and 2100 steps walking is a mile.
• iPhone – not sure if it has a survival use per se’, but has some apps and references for first aid and survival on it. If I have coverage it gives me maps, GPS, compass, star map, camera and communication.
• SAK – Simple, light.
• Other wallet has current photos of family that I can show people if they go missing/lost, ID and a little money.
