Well I picked up a Walther P22 pistol today. I wanted a pairable rifle/pistol to share the same ammo. This will work well with my Ruger 10/22. I also figured in a SHTF senario .22 ammo will be easier and more pletiful than others. I also got a set of Tritium sights for my Glock Model 22, .40 cal, nice night sights not cheap but could save my butt at some point. Plan on hitting the range later this week and breaking everything in.

Nice indeed. Seems that my local stores are starting to pick up more ammo and/or less people are buying like crazed rabbits. Seems the high dollar .22 CCI type ammo is what is available almost at will now.

Kutkota I hope that turns out to be true.. I'm in Texas and when I look at the WM ammo cage I bet there isn't 30 boxes of ammo there.. (mostly shotgun and some rifle). I have picked up the last two boxes of .380 there and two boxes of .38 RNL (which I normally wouldn't buy cause I don't like how dirty the gun ends up after shooting it).. Of course I bought these for my neighbors who actually own these guns.. cause I don't own any pistols... well except for that single action RG .22 revolver.

Bet you'll enjoy that Walther. I'm watching a waiting for some dust to settle but I'd love to pick up a semiauto .22.

You will never go wrong with a Ruger Mark....I've owned all of the Marks and in several different configurations. Jimmy I have heard great things about the Rugher Mark as well but wanted more of a compact model and read alot of great reviews about the Walther I hope you have good luck with it. As of last week I now know 4 people personally that own or have owned them. From their experience, I won't ever own one. Xwing is one. My former boss is another. Those two are former owners.... the other two can't find anyone to buy them, after 3 trips each back to the factory for repairs. A Mark any # with the 4 inch tapered barrel is a fairly small package, and still very accurate. I have found the accuracy wanting in the P22 beyond 15-20 yards. Now having said all that, maybe Walther has got the P22 squared away and the sights and pins don’t just fall out of it anymore. I always liked the look and feel of it. I used to always want one. I hope it serves you well and that you are happy with it! Look forward to a review from you!! Jimmy
