We had put back some money just for it. Now we are back to square one with not enough space. No one in the group as a whole has enough space. Time to get inventive again, if these walls could talk, they would be doing so with a mouthful.

Now... isn't that more like what you meant?

We had put back some money just for it. Now we are back to square one with not enough space. No one in the group as a whole has enough space. Time to get inventive again, if these walls could talk, they would be doing so with a mouthful. Well you could always make the floors talk too. Floors are always an option, especially with modern snap together laminate flooring. They always have to have 1/4" or so clearance for expansion and contraction or they will buckle with heating and cooling expansion cycles. The perfect location to close up a room with this form of flooring is where one room meets another because you have to put an expansion joint in at that point. The typical expansion joint consist of a 1/4" to 1/2" metal channel in which snaps the cover for the expansion joint. This is especially effective on the long axis of the room by planning the normal off setting of the room such that one of the laminate slates line up in front of a doorway for the length of the doorway only. In an emergency, the expansion joint cover is pried up, and the plank that was blind cut into the expansion joint area can be lifted and taken out of the floor uncovering the access hole for whatever your stash is.
