I like the Vic Mechanic. Has a small set of pliers on it but still is small enough to fit in my pocket.

Explorer for the win! Can't beat havin' another way to start fire & the magnifyin' glass fits the bill! I do love the feel of a good alox though. I carry the pioneer, the soldier, & the electrician a good bit. I've got one of just about every alox model except the ones with a sacking needle. Would love to have a first mate but can't justify the price. Yeah, those First Mates are hard to find and expensive! For those who don't know; the blades on the ALOX models are thicker than on the plastic red handled models, but overall the knife itself is thinner. I like the feel and ease of carry of an ALOX. I switch the models around for carry purposes.

I do not have one. I wish I did. But it will have to wait.

I don't own one but maybe I should. I do carry a leathermen wave Speaking of that, I've had a leatherman and vic spirit sitting outdoors (except for cold weather sim) since Will first posted his thread back on ST for ammo rusting. I've used them both in various task, left them in the rain, the dirt, sun, etc. I've frozen both in blocks of ice, then busted them out after chilling them down to -50f Then ran a rose bud torch over them. They are currently residing in a pile of gravel at the bottom of a water filled barrel who's PH test tells me there is lime in them. Since everyone seems to prefer this kind of torture regime, I figure I'll join in. They come out of the water this weekend, I'll take pics of both and post them here when I do. Next is the drag. Tying a steel cable to them and dragging them behind the car for 5 minutes on the highway. I expect that one to be interesting.
