Anyone have experience or knowledge or preference? I don't want a Mark. Not right now.

Couple buddies have m&p thoughnot the 22 variety and they like them. One hates the way it feels in his hand though.

I am bias in favor of Ruger. Never had a problem with any of them.

Everyone I talked to say the ruger. Followed by M&P Looked (online) at Sig 1911 22 but haven't heard good things about it. Seems on right to replace the RG with a gun with RuGer in it

I would like to own an SR22. When my stack of pennies gets high enough, that's likely what will follow me home.

If only I didn't love that RG so much. :-) do you have any idea how hard it is to find a set of plastic replacement grips for that shooter? It's a classic I tell ya!

Missasip you're just envious I own an RG and you don't. I wish I had gotten it out from its secret velvet safe while you were here and let you fire it. You'd have been mesmerized.

I bet we have people on here who could carve a good set of wood replacement grips with a good template to start from. Also pachmayr makes good replacement grips for anything and I really like the way the feel when the iron is cold or wet. www.pachmayr.com/home/handgun-grips.php

Only one gun store in Tulsa has an SR22 that I might get. $329. The $300 sr was in Lawton. Across the state so actually cheaper to buy new and save gas I was kidding about the grips for the RG .22. I paid $25 for it in the army to keep some basic trainee from getting kicked out. It's a Saturday night special Wait wait wait, someone came to basic with a gun, and you bought it from him?

Wait! Stop the madness! Why would you even consider a pair of Walther/S&W bastid children? What is the reason for NOT going with an older mark II or newer 22/45 lite if you need less weight? Maybe we need to do lunch? I need to steer you back into the fold.

Th3 walther versio s are ammo picky til well worn in. For some reason the ruger is not but does have one part that fails but im at work and cannot link it. No experience with the m&p. If i remember right the walther and ruger are made the same place
