Because he also makes awesome knives* is why we all say he is funny. And intelligent. And handsome. :-D *Did I mention that he's also ex-mil and probably highly trained in wet work? Hahahaha. Saying a submariner is trained in wet work is like saying the pillsbury doughboy works in a kitchen. But he does make great knives. Just not while he's underwater. What, being underwater isn't wet work? And how do YOU know he hasn't made a great knife underwater? I bet working underwater would produce the greatest knife EVAH and that's how he does them all the time. So there. Nyah nyah nyah. Neener neener neener.

And this is how we (often) hijack threads as in go off on tangents that have nothing to do with the original post. As kutkota said 'welcome to the madness'. It's a really fun place and if you're Jimmy's friend then I'm guessing you have an opinion on many subjects. We will be looking for them. A sense of humor is usually required.

Welcome aboard Wildflower. I personally know what a dandelion looks like and thats about my plant knowledge in a nutshell. Oh yeah, I can recognize sting nettles too. Hate them boogers. Anyway, good to have somebotany (see what I did there? Huh,huh? ) who knows their way around the plant kingdom.

Anyway, good to have somebotany (see what I did there? Huh,huh? ) who knows their way around the plant kingdom. Sounds nuts but stinging nettles make delicious and very nutritious greens. Wear gloves to pick, rinse, cook until tender in broth, drop in dumplings and boil until dumplings are cooked. Delicious. Nettle leaves are lined with tiny arrows loaded with acid that stings. If you brush the leaves in an upward fashion you won't set off the arrows brush the leaves in a downward fashion and you set off the arrows and get stung. Cool mud helps sooth the sting.
