In light of all of our recent conversations on " what will happen if"
We had to go to Gander today to keep on replacing the stuff that was stolen off our boat last July and is covered by insurance. None of that fishing stuff is up to me; I just get to play with it and catch fish--DH is in charge of all the replacement stuff.
So I had my BIL meet me at ammo and boy we did some serious damage stocking up.
Also picked up a couple trail cams for the ridge behind us about 200 feet from my kitchen window and about 90 feet up, where my husband found some giant piles of scat last week. Can't be bear as they're still hibernating here. He said the piles look way too big to be coyote. Dog has been acting weird at night when I try to send her out to do her thing before bed.
Hopefully will get the trail cams mounted tomorrow.
Okay I certainly feel more ready. For every $100 dollars you spent, you got $20 in cash back to spend the next month or two. So I get to go back and have more fun!
Then,
For Christmas DH gave me three individual sessions at Gander. He got a fabulous deal on them as they were normally Total $225 and he got them for $100 total.
I want the guy in the first lesson to teach me how to strip my gun clean it and put it back together till I can do it in my sleep. (Glock.40 cal).
Next two lessons I need them to help me decide if I'm shooting right or left because apparently I am truly ambidextrous. I want to decide, stick with it and practice my little heart out.
I put this under the general board because we can use the fishing stuff to feed ourselves if need be and since every single thing we had was stolen, this was really important we get it replaced.
The other stuff while important for personal defense and keeping critters away from the homestead, was just plain and simple fun.
