Kay - - I'm exhausted now and need a nap! Wow, I can't believe how difficult it was to set up a ProBoards account, but I'm here, and I'm hoping that it will be well worth the extreme effort!
My name is Lynne. I am a mom, grandmother (call me Nana), GREAT-grandmother (call me Nana the Great!), and wife to the most fabulous, irritating, loving, annoying and Believing man on the planet! His name is Sam. Kay is our "yenta," in that she introduced us to each other a few years ago. Some days I want to thank her for that; other days, I'd like to strangle her along with the aforementioned Sam.
I am also a Believer, a practicing member of a Messianic community on line, and a more-or-less "local" (50 miles away) congregation as well. I am are retired R.N., and thankful for being retired every single day! I really don't indulge in any crafty things since the arthritis in my hands has made counted cross stitch and crochet pretty uncomfortable. I've got other health issues, but I am determined that I will have good days, and then I will have better days. In other words, NO BAD DAYS!
We love our furkids! We have two cats - - an aged one, totally black except for a very tiny white blaze on her chest, who is named Cleo (Cleocatra!), and one that is a black and gray tiger stripe on white with tan spots, who is named Lucky. We found him in a pothole alongside the road, almost dead, and brought him home. I told Sam that if he lived, he's be lucky, so - - - you know the rest of the story. We have three dogs - - an old stray who adopted us about 7 years ago, that was named Sid. He is a German shepherd and we think doberman cross, and is the sweetest, gentlest, most loving dog we have ever had. We think he is about 9 or 10 years old. When he came, he was literally skin and bones, and so afraid, he would not even eat unless he was a safe distance from us! Pepper is small, a little bigger than a chihuahua, and we think she may be part whippet. She is all back, except for the white on the tip of her tail and on her tummy. We have no idea how old she may be; we watched at someone threw her out of their car at the end of our driveway and then speed off. Hmph! Trace is a Sheltie, and is my love, my baby. He is only 8 months old, and a wonderful, awesome little guy.
And that's all I'm going to bore you with as far as introductions go.
