Last time i posted said something about adding finger loops to the atlatl. Used paracord and made it adjustable for different size fingers. What a big difference the finger loops make, Makes it easier to hold the dart and the Atlatl...so now it's easier to make a long throw. I also added the fork stick on the front so now i don't have to hold the dart at all. Doing so has made my throws longer...65 paces long. Before the loops and the y stick i was averaging about 50 paces give or take a few. Next video i'll be adding the weight and giving that a go...the weight should also add more distance. Once i get the kit fine tuned i'll learn my most effect range for power and accuracy...for the kill. Again i'd like to thank my friends for helping...special mention to woodyz for all the posted links...you rock buddy

Too cool. The family was traveling and stopped at a "craft" fair. A guys was selling atlatls. He was surprised that I knew what it was. I dearly wanted one, but we were out of state and traveling in a subcompact car and just didn't have room for something that long. (there were 4 of us plus luggage in that car)
