My fuel is usually only stored for a few months but as things are getting more volatile I intend on storing more. This is good info but how about storing diesel for my tractor?

My fuel is usually only stored for a few months but as things are getting more volatile I intend on storing more. This is good info but how about storing diesel for my tractor? Diesel stores very well. I store a 55 gallon drum of it for my little Yanmar. That would power it for my garden for long time. Only uses about 2 gallons a year for the garden. Having a good separator on the tractor is a plus, as water is the only issue I've ever had. Separator makes it all good... Jimmy

I was talking to our Maintenance manager the other day about the company's diesel underground tanks. He said that he has them checked for microbes. I recall that some additives are added periodically. Now this diesel has been stored for several years.
