I have two types Kale, Collards, Broccoli, spinach and carrots in my green house. All in all about 30-40 5 gal self watering buckets. We've had fresh greens all winter so far with extras for the freezer. Need to harvest them again now. The lower leaves can be harvested and new ones grow from the top leaves. They begin to look like little palm trees . We cook'em southern fashion with a little hog jowl when we can find it - Ham Hock or smoked neck bone. Wife can eat a bucket full of them!!!!! I printed out and will have to try some of them thar fancy Kale salits I'll post a pic if I can get through these north GA flood waters . . . just kidding.

Ha ha ha ha, As Kay knows because she's my friend on Facebook, I hate Kale. In anyway shape or form. Yet I grow 3 different kinds. Last year I had over 20 gallon bags frozen with all the kale squished down. I then pull it out and add it to every single thing where I can't see it. Every muffin, every soup, every gravy, every roast.
Since I already put shredded zucchini into yeast sandwich bread's, I'm going to try Kale. The only problem is I can "see" it and that might stop me from eating it.
