Canning lids are in short supply right now (at least around here). We are seeing off brands being sold. The wife only wants Ball or Kerr. We have seen Golden Harvest (never used those before). My wife ordered some lids online and we got a charge on our credit card in Hong Kong. SIGH.
I wonder where Ball and Kerr supplies are made?\
Anyway, we have been hearing of off brand lids not sealing on the jars.

I bought some Chinese lids and have had 0 failures to seal out of 84 jars of green beans. Lids bought off Amazon. Finger tight only and into pressure canner. Remove, wait about 5 minutes to allow more venting then snug them down real good. They always seal before I snug them down. They are thin and if put into pressure canner tighten down tight they will more than likely deform from the pressure since they can't vent. Also used Tattler reusable lids but have about double the failures compared to metal lids. Use them mainly for jams, jellies, and kraut

Full refund for 120 lids in September 2020 from Amazon on them. The concern is that during canning you use heat and whatever that orange edge is is anyone's guess. So just an FYI.
