Still have the resident female coming to the front feeder, I see her 5 or 6 times a day, I'm sure she comes more often because we fill the feeder every week and its at least 1/3 gone.
Have not seen any males regularly until today and saw 2 different ones 3 times in 15 minutes, they were chasing each other from the back feeder, but both of them finally managed to feed. One was green with a red breast, the other was blue green and didn't have significant color anywhere else. They both fed for several minutes once they were alone. I see the female or a female at the back feeder once in awhile, but not often. Both feeders are the same batch of mix so they should taste the same. You can tell the level in the back feeder goes down weekly, but not as much.
I am thinking the female lives her and the males were "passing thru"

Yesterday I watched the cat make a leap, and miss, at two doves getting gravel/grit out of the drive. Have not seen many doves this year, but no grain fields nearby any more either. All the plots that used to be planted around here have been sold for home sites.
We were counted as part of the county, but our last taxes, showed us incorporated into the city. Still getting our water from a well and the access road still sucks, so I don't know what benefits our taxes are for, unless you count more/closer neighbors.

So its been a couple of hours and I just saw the "blue/green" one at the back feeder again, so he wasn't just passing thru, or maybe he is resting and going to get an early start tomorrow. If he was staying around here I would think I would have seen him, but I have not seen any males for awhile.
It's 90 with winds out of the SSE at 6MPH, and a 19% chance of rain, maybe he doesn't want to fight the headwind. The change of rain and the wind go down tomorrow so maybe he is waiting it out.
They are fascinating, I've seen the female seem to dodge raindrops while feeding in the front and I've seen her hover under the overhang out of the rain and seemed to be watch me watch her. We've scared her away and at other times she seems not to care we are there. They sure seem to drink/eat a lot for their size, I've been on the back deck and front porch when they are hovering close by and they are not quiet, both their wing/flight noise and they make cracks and pops and other noises like they are trying to talk.

Saw the same two males fighting at the back feeder and later fighting with the female at the front feeder, so they are still around. My wife saz the one I call blue-green has white or yellow stripe at its throat and she has seen all three feeding at different times from the front feeder while she sit in the swing on the front porch on the phone and the female has hovered at the front porch glass door and watched her before going to the feeder several times.
She saz the two males and the female have feed at the back feeder many times while she was sitting on the back deck.
They may all three live around here.
Just before dark yesterday we had a male and a female cardinal at the bird feeder on the back deck, they have been there before so they must live around here too.
We also had a dove feeding at the same feeder that same evening, but at a different time, Iv'e had one there before too, don't know if it same one

We get a lot of hummers. We planted our yard to attract them and the butterflies. Fun to watch.

There are only ruby-throated hummingbirds to be seen in the eastern part of the country. Even where I am here in SD, ruby-throats are the only ones available, according to all of my "bird books". That said, anything is possible.
I thought that there were some screenlike tips that could prevent wasps having access, something wide enough to allow a hummer's tongue to access but too small for a wasp head.

Set out a few wasp traps. You can buy them at any big box store like Lowe's or Home Depot, or you can make your own - link to one way - www.bobvila.com/articles/homemade-wasp-trap/

my wife doesn't like how the hummingbirds fight, so she will not put up feeders for them.
