Anyone learn any lessons from hurricane Ida? 1. Make a list of phone numbers and addresses of hardware stores. My brother called me and asked me to call a hardware store for him. He did not have access to internet to look up the number. 2. Make a list of phone numbers and addresses of contractors. Again, if no internet.
I saw that the last phone book I got did not have lowes or home depot in it. Also not very many contractors in it.

At least you still get phonebooks.
When we moved out here in 2018, our realtor gave us excellent recommendations for various services, and I made a list to which I've added contact info from time to time. That list is hanging on a wall in the kitchen and those numbers are also in my devices. Another copy of the paper list would be in the go-bag.

NOTE: My "LIST" is on the back of a map, showing all of the places I might want to visit and all of the places I might find things on my needs/want/obtain list. The "map" is part of my go bag, it has routes, reroutes, rally points and catches, and "YES" they are marked in a simple code, easy to understand, easy to obtain, but impossible to know without a simple "key"
So simple, but so secure, I'll even give you a hint, in the hope you are able to use it yourself.
The "key" is in the Bible, easy to obtain even often carried in a go bag, once you "figure out" how to use it, very secure, very easy.
