Well for the first time I feel like I have not direction, nothing waiting to be done, I'm just marking time waiting for whatever comes next, not even interested in what it might be, disconnected from it all.

We all need to stay focused on what is important and keep moving forward toward that goal.

I agree with the need, I just no longer feel committed to the need.

evaluate, Improvise, adapt, overcome Sooner or later we all reach a point, considering the remaining life span may be only a very few years, that former things, events, projects seem rather pointless. I think I've reached that point also. At that point life takes a rather sharp turn and the old adage above becomes very important. Focus, effort, priorities seem to change drastically. However, that focus and those efforts and priorities are no less important then those previously held. The world stage and life events suddenly alter with that realization. Maybe we're just much wiser about existence now that we can look back and evaluate and REFOCUS. Actually life seems to become much more exciting and enjoyable once we "unburden" the junk.

Woody, as I get older and slower, my goals have also changed. Yes I still have this gigantic need to feed others so the garden takes almost all my time in summer and fall. But I find I am quietly praying/praising during gardening, cooking, canning, packaging up the food for others. Also I am trying to be a "good example" for others so talk to sometimes complete strangers about our 'Backwoods Home' lifestyle, faith, and mostly HOPE. You are always in our prayers.
