Indonesia's Mount Semeru volcanic eruption, has anyone heard or thought of issue of cooling temps due to sulfur release. I wonder if the eruption is big enough to have a big effect. How long would it take to see an effect?

Thousands of homes damaged, a little over 50 dead or unaccounted for. If the volcanic clouds are bad enough they potentially could reach us in a week or so, but that's assuming they stayed intact and didn't dissolve into the rest of the Pacific air that gets carried by the jet streams.
Now if it was the Yellowstone caldera that decided to erupt...

I saw where mt. Etna is erupting again with ash 6 miles up.

Don’t think either of them will change the trend of globle warming I believe globle warming is real and is a problem, I don’t believe the current administration knows what to do about it if anything can be done We should be learning how to live with it not trying to change it
