The cayenne I will crush to make my own crushed red and jalapenos and tomatoes will be for soups, etc. as needed. 9 Trays full and more to be dried. If these pics are okay I have to thank pathwinder for the advice on previewing. Jim

Great job!! Thanks for posting!
Where did you get your dehydrator? What brand is it and does it work well when heavy loaded? Does it have a thermostat control or timer?
I had an Excaliber...but it finally wore out...been borrrowing Carols...I need to get a new one, but OUCH those things are to expensive!

It is a Vita-Mix Harvest savor. I bought it many many moons ago from Vita-Mix website. Can't remember how much but it was not expensive. In my opinion it does not work so well loaded, but usually when I dry less it takes about 24-30 hours. It does not have either a timer or thermostat, which is why (now we are drying more stuff) I will be ordering the Excaliber 3900 next week. It has 600 watts, large 9 tray, built-in on/off switch, 7" fan, and adjustable thermostat. For 50 bucks more I can buy the exact same toy that has a 26 hour timer. (model 3926T). Yeah they are expensive, but what the heck-we deserve it don't we Dink? ;D Jim
