Well it be puree of several different items some a them bein: Pumpkin Potatoes Beans Corn Sweet Potatoes an so on. What ya do is: Put the food a choice in a blender er food processor. A bit a water an make a puree outa it. Put it on the fruit roll up tray in yer dehydrator an dry it as dry as ya can get it. Cut er break inta pieces an store in a zip lock bag (vac seal in a bag ifin ya wanna keep it longer). Now all ya gotta do is add water an some other thins (I"ll post a link ta the site with more info an recipes)when on the trail, just eat em like chips. Here be the site with all the info, thata way I ain't borrowin there stuff! www.backpackingchef.com/food-dehydrator-recipes.html I made up a batch a pumpkin bark. I added a bit a cinammon an sugar ta mine cause I wan't it fer trail snacks. Mighty tastety stuff!

American Harvester is just what I'm looking for but, I have been told it's best to get one with a thermometer so, I'm holding out till I find one I can afford. Also, I was told to buy one at least 700 watts.

I've got a book called the Happy Camper. Says you can do spaghetti sauce the same way. Rehydrate with a bit of water and have campfire spaghetti.
