Has anyone heard of these? Does anyone who uses a pressure canner have any opinions on this item? It looks like a decent thing to have especially if it is multi purpose. From what I read it seems to either use 8lbs of pressure or 15. Not sure how it can only have two settings since I thought that was determined by heat.

Some of the pressure canners/cookers have a weight that sits on the vent, they will hold the pressure to a set amount and allow steam to release when the pressure is reached. I have several pressure cookers that work like this, I bought extra weights, so I can do 4#, 6#, 8#, 10#, 12# and 15#.
I have only used Presto pressure cookers and canners. I love mine. Makes the meat super tender and really opens up the world of canning. I think you should check your location and see what your home elevation is and what pressures are recommended for your elevation, then decide if you want that brand. I would make sure it has a solid way of locking during use. You don't want it bursting on you.

I did a run of 'NEW TADERS" last night.
They turned out great.

I've got a Presto C/C and am eager to use it...I've got a few different sites bookmarked that are all about canning.
