I have three mills. The Country Living, the Family Grain Mill, and the Wonder Mill (electric).
BTW, I mounted a motor on my Country Living Mill.
The Country Living does a great job grinding all kinds of products. Con: It's quite slow. 10-15 minutes grinding enough for a couple loaves of bread.
The Family Grain Mill works well and is a good mill. I simply could not get it to grind wheat as fine as I wanted it for bread. It grinds it fine enough but not as fine as I like it for pastries and biscuits. It's electric or hand operated.
Wonder Mill AWESOME!! Grinds quite fine (fine enough for me) and it's quick. Grinds enough flour for 2 loaves before I can assemble all the other ingredients. Sits on the counter and the only one I use now. Con: and it's a big con. Electric only. Would be useless in a SHTF sit.
Wonder Mill Jr. I bought for one of my boys. Dink can fill you in on that one. Never used it myself but it gets great reviews, is inexpensive (compared to other mills), and hand operated only. I can be motorized or connected to a stationary bike.
Didn't specifically answer your question so, Yes, the CLGM is a great mill and you can't go wrong with it.

I've heard that. I haven't got around to getting one, But I have been toying with the idea of adding a larger external gear to increase the rotation ratio.

Thanks fellas. I don't mind the slowness as I have four children with two arms each. I'm pretty sure I can keep the mill going 'round the clock.

Not sure exactly where you're going with this thought but TLGM is limited to about 60 rpm although some it seems have gotten by with up to 90. Seems the warranty is voided at higher rpms.

I was wondering about that. I know the other gears and or bearings probably have a load/friction capacity. I might have to change those too.

I have mine ordered and should be here in two days. I have the wheat ready and I bet the kids will think it's really cool for about the first five minutes.

Ground about 3 cups of flour with the mill. Works great but the power bar extension is a must have.

Power bar definitely helps. IIRC I made mine from some scrap flat iron I had stashed back.
