I have never listed the contents of my BOB/GHB (WINTER VERSION). The one I take EVERYWHERE with me. Here Tiz in no particular order... Cressent Wrench Multiplier Flashlight with 2 extra battery Packs Compass Gersey Gloves Winter Gloves Extreme cold Gloves Socks Regular Socks Cold weather Polyproplele Underwhere Wool Stocking Hat Cap Belt Blankey GorTex Bivy /w lightweight sleeping bag -10 GorTex Jacket and Pants LED Keychain Light SunScreen Bug Repellent Beretta M9 4 loaded Mags 10 Extra Rounds 45 ACP 10 Extra Rounds for the 380 LCP (Always on me) KayBar SP8 Machette Buck Folding Knife Sunglasses Safety Glasses Vet Wrap Right in the Rain Pad and Pen $50 Cash Candles Fire Starting Stuff Hydro Codine First aid stuff Canteen Cup Survival Straw Water Bottle MRE+2 accy packs 200 Ft Paracord 3 Carabiners Pocket Chainsaw Whistle & Signal Mirror Binos (Compact) Fishing Stuff 2 Trash Bags (Big) Sharpening Stone (Small) Zip Ties Gorilla Tape (Small) TP Hydration Blatter. All stored in a "Condor MAC" 3 day Assault Pack.
For Summer carry, I just remove all of the winter clothes and sleeping bag. I do keep the GorTex Bivvy.
The weight of the pack is right at 20 pounds or so, some of the items in it will be worn like the Beretta and Ka-bar, and other items will be put in pockets on my person to lighten the load in the pack. DON'T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT
I will try to find some pictures or take new ones.

Wow, 20 pounds? I'm surprised. I think that pack alone weighs about 6 pounds.
Looks pretty nicely thought out though!

My pockets are always well-stuffed too. Most of my stuff lives in the car, but if I had only the contents of my pockets plus what's on my key lanyard, I'd be fine at least for a while.

Anglehelp, You are right on the money in my opinion. A person should not RELY on their BOB/GHB. A person has to be able to make it with what they have on them. Being able to get to their Bag is a true gift. Keeping it while moving quick is another gift. WC

I don't see a whole lot of food WC, just the MRE? Do you plan on catching food? or having food at the destination your going to? I know humans can survive up to 3 weeks without food, I'm just curious as to why you only have a MRE.
