Went to get emissions inspect for new plates and I had knock sensor code poppin up. Of course, to change them out is a total hassle as they are screwed into the block under the intake manifold. Well, joe mechanic wanted 500 big ones for the job and I decided that was sucky. You'd be suprised how much stuff is out there on the U tube for car repairs. $165 and a few hours later, new ones in! Had to go back to part shop and they scrubbed the code for free . What I didnt know was that the car has to be driven a few times for these other things to reset so I can actually pass inspection. BTW, the KS affects the timing (which I did not know) and my truck is running real nice right now. Cleaning out the intake manifold helped out too Im sure. It was a big job for me and glad I did it. I always learn a lot about things when I do this and it was a big confidence booster.

Sweet!! I did the same sort of thing with my jetski, and a few calls to the duckman himself where ever he is.
