I WISH I WAS CLOSER TO A BODY OF SALT WATER TO SEE IF THE SUN WOULD GENERATE ENOUGH HEAT WITH THIS OVER THE WATER TO SEE IF IT WORKS

The simplest disstller I ever seen was in a ranger manual. A pot of salt water was on the fire and a simple cloth, shirt whatever covered the boiling pot. The cover collected the steamed heat. You ring the water from the cover. Pretty simple compared to most.

Just this little A frame built out over the salt water on a frame or pier or something where the sun and evaporation make non-potable salt water into drinkable water.

Missed the part about no fire, will be interesting to see how well it works. i have done the regular solar stills, they produced water but only a few ounces in a full day.
