And still do btw, don't worry, security is good enough The eggs are from Fulmar, they can be a bastard to get for the simple reason of "20th may it's too early and 21th it's too late" as the saying goes. The eggs are delicious though, and there's no lack of them, just need people to gather them www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=eARBwMZZZCA#! Can't get the embedding to work so there's just the link to the vid (it's not in my part of hte country though

Well that was scary but interesting. Scary 'cause some of those ropes seemed mighty thin to my liking for a young boy to be lowered down the cliffs. Do the collectors keep all the eggs for themselves or do they keep some and sell some. I imagine the price is rather steep considering the danger involved in collecting them. Thanks for posting this!

Well far be it from all places to look this scary we usually never use ropes here in this part of the country as the cliffs aren't that steep. Most keep the eggs for themselves, but it depends on how many they get, then they might sell them, prices are a bit steep then.

Thanks for answering my question. An old tradition and still being practiced. Nice!
