I'm not good at this stuff but, just letting everyone know that this Sunday will be having a solar eclipse. West coast has the best view but other parts of the us will see something just not a total eclipse. I guess it's being called the ring of fire for the moon will not cover the whole sun and the moon will look like it has a fire ring around it. Remember never look at the sun with the naked eye even during an eclipse.....happy viewing. PS there are safe ways to view this eclipse.

Always used a #12 welding hood lens myself. They are relatively cheap at places like tractor supply and other stores of their ilk.

Good idea, another is to use a telescope and a white piece of paper to reflect the image onto the paper. I'm not sure but I believe you turn the eye piece toward the sun and use the object lens as the projector. Hope i got that right
