I noticed that apparently H&R/NEF SS Handi Rilfes haven't been brought up yet.
So I guess I will........any fans out there?
I seem to be drawn to multi purpose firearms, and the ability to change out barrels at a low cost....making them a very versatile tool.......or as some say, "One gun for every thing".
yeah I know there are T/C Contender and Encore fans out there...same principle, change out barrels.....and lately the Rossi SS combo's.....but pricing and barrel availability seem to to an issue.

I've got a Rossi combo and it has done a great job for me. I would love to get ahold of an Encore for a decent price. Maybe someday...

Called Rossi customer service on cost of adding more barrels....each one was a couple of hundred bucks. T/C Encore is a vert nice rifle......there again real pricey.
H&R/NEF Barrels are $95 bucks for rifles, $55 bucks for shot gun barrels....that was why I started down that path.
First go around in 2005 was one Handi Rifle @ $229 in .243, the added 9 more barrels.... The rifle barrels were $55 bucks each and shotgun barrels were $35 bucks each.

So I guess no one seems to have much to say about the old H&R/NEF systems? Or maybe old news? Anyway the first system, Handi rifle started life as a .243 The added:.....270, 45/70, .50 cal BP...then .410 w/.45 lc capability, 28 ga, 20 ga, 20 ga rifled bull barrel, 16 ga, and 12 ga w/screw in chokes.
