Just a quick initial impression of the LAPG brand cotton canvas pants.
These things are very well stitched, brass tack button, ykk zipper and such that you can read about on their web site but I am very impressed with the finish and the fit is like second skin for me. they are slimmer than BDU style cargo pants but allow great freedom of movement.
They were 22 bucks and if they hold up like my other LAPG pants they are gonna be awesome!
Next up is my new Kelty Redwing 50 backpack. Again initial quality is outstanding with no loose threads, heavy stitching and tons of adjustability. I had it fit to me in about 20 seconds, took it off and in 30 more seconds had it fitted to my wife!
Lots of space and some pals type webbing and a removable waist belt. I opted for the 50 liter pack because I have an abundance of smaller packs and the only larger one I have is a USGI molle 2 pack which weighs about 8 pounds empty.
