The New Cold War
Over the past few years tension between the U.S. and Russia have grown exponentially and seems to be heating up even more with the conflicting views of the two countries is Syria. The U.S. government under Obama is supporting ISIS attempts to overthrow Bashar Hafez al-Assad, while Russia is supporting Assad with military air-strikes and troops on the ground.
I’m not sure where this tension between the two counties and their allies will end up, but one thing is certain and that is a new cold war and arms race would be very profitable for the military industrial complex. But this time it may not end the same as the last cold war but could result in a nuclear WW3.
We’ve also witnessed with Russia’s military actions in Syria that Russian weapon systems and capabilities are far more advanced than we had thought, and I’m sure that they are holding a lot of their capabilities in reserve, just in case they need to use those at a later date, possibly against the U.S..
But then the most effective and safest way to bring the U.S. crumbling down would be through economic and cyber warfare. If Russia and China were to work together along with a few other countries they could easily bring down the dollar and the U.S. economic system.
The U.S. has many enemies around the would and they would love to crush the U.S. and will do so as soon as they have the opportunity and means which will allow them to accomplish that end without destroying themselves in the process.
The fear of mutual destruction militarily and or economically has long been the barrier that has kept the “trigger from being pulled” but as soon as that barrier has been eliminated and our enemies are certain that they can destroy us without mutual destruction they will do so…
