Something I've been wondering about for a bit. Say the SHTF. Society is in chaos. You're bugged in or at your BOL.
A group engages you and they have flash bangs.
Aside from having your windows or screens penetration proof, is there a way to negate the effects of a flash bang?
Ear protection obviously, but I was thinking about the percussion side of it. Maybe a series of short walls to dissipate some of the force?

As far as flash bangs I wasn't aware that they were anything other than light and noise. (no projectiles...) I think there is a fire hazard and like a giant firecracker there could be injury it someone is close to it but I don't think they could blow out your window unless it's right next to the glass.
DH has some and has let them off occasionally.

fas.org:8080/man/dod-101/sys/land/mk3a2.htmfas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/xm84.htmThere is no such animal as a 'percussion grenade' that I am aware of. There is a concussion grenade (first link) and a stun/flash bang grenade (second link). One is lethal but limited radius for close quarters combat, the other is not susposed to be lethal, but has been through secondary effects. Stun grenades are easy enough to defeat, but concussion grenades require something more to defend against. They won't shred steel, but the nature of a concussion grenade is to over pressure the surrounding area. Steel pressure boundaries hidden in walls behind sheet rock will work if designed right along with break angles etc.

I was thinking more of the stun grenades. Concussion grenades would require some very serious upgrades.

The light is awful bright. Essentially they are designed to create sensory overload. Ideally, they give about three to five seconds distraction which is an eternity in CQB.

Lots of lead between the eyes comes to mind to stop them....
