I never cast my Redington (7'6" 2WT) on a river, but I 'gotta try sometime. I just need a good reel to replace the one I had which cr*pped out a few months ago.

Offtrail if you noticed he could have put his lure in the water every single cast... however putting your lure in 'the right perfect I'm gonna catch a fish spot' requires skill and the beauty of watching that line loop out there over and over and then seeing the fly settle just right in that just right spot... Sometimes fishing becomes an art and not just a wing and a prayer.. watch the move 'The River Runs Through It' sometimes.. Now that is fly fishing.. I've got to say sometimes I cast three times trying to get my bass lure in the right spot.. then sometimes I place it perfectly the first time.. and it sits there while I remove the birds nest.. lol

I think there was a good dose of showing off there as well. And I tell ya what.....if I could handle a rod and line like he can I would be showing out every single cast too! Heck I would be showing off like that if I was by myself!!!
