We got more rain today ;D ;D ;D not a lot but some is better then nothing Well after the rain I went Ground hog hunting=ghh. When I first got there it was still early so I did some arrowhead hunting. Found some flint chips, that was it. When I got back to the car there was two hogs out in the field. I laid my 22-250 across the roof of my car and carefully put the bead on her and pulled the trigger. I was sure I got her but you will just have to watch the video to find out . After the two minute mark it's just me looking for the second gh but I believe i missed it

So....are you eating them? I would!!
I don't know what the laws are where you are at, but in Missouri, its illegal to use a vehicle for a rest when hunting. You have to be so many paces away from the vehicle when shooting, unless oyu have a disabled permit, then the rules are a bit different. What are your laws there concerning this?

From the Arkansas Game and Fish Regs book- "It is illegal to shoot across or within 100 feet of the centerline of any city, county, state or federally maintained road."

I know you can't shoot from the inside of a car or truck unless your handicapped. You can do pretty much what you want on private land. As long as your away from any public road and not on public land, it's non of there business. it's good to bring this up as some people may try this on public land, i would not recommend this. In Ohio you can't even have a loaded gun by the road, you must walk into the woods or field I believe it's 500? feet before you can even load it. No I don't eat them but would If I had to, If I could find someone that does I would be more then happy to give em up What can I say the land owner wants them gone.

Sorry...I guess I missed the part about you being on private land. I know a few around here who get special permission from conservation out of season to get rid of large deer populations. It's good you can help the landowner out like that. Target practice on a small moving object at a distance on a regular basis is a great thing!!
To bad you don't live closer to me...I am not picky and if cooked right, they aren't bad at all!

I have tried Ground hog at a wild game dinner once, I didn't like the way it was cooked. Going to look up info on cooking ground hog you may have talked me into killing ,cleaning and eating one if I do I will let you know

Just keep in mind, you can make ANYTHING taste good if you wrap it in bacon and cook it on the grille!
