Snagged a Morakniv Companion olive drab model from eBay. After I bought one for someone else online (I also took part in an Xmas exchange on Imgur) it's been bugging me since to go and get one. Here's to hoping I like it.

I've got a few you'll find there a lot of quality for the money, I would have to say my carbon blade is my favorite neck knife

I also have 2 of those one in stainless which I use in Virginia all the time as a neck knife, and a carbon blade for here in PA. I have other knives but these are two that I use the most because one of them is with me all the time.

I have one. Got it at a gun show. Hasn't been outdoors yet. It's a carbon steel model. Very inexpensive.

both carbon and stainless seem to be brittle but sharp and for the price cut it down or toss it
there always good and sharp,
I like there 8 1/2" filet knife too

Bought a clipper for me then 4 more as gifts. My go to outdoor blade. Using a knife as a knife should take care of any brittlness....wven though mine gets used roughly I never have been afraid it would break.

No field use yet or foreseeable in the near future, but I find it makes for a good King Cake cutter. A Carnival/Mardi Gras tradition in this band is after every Carnival gig we share a king cake, and whoever gets the baby has to get the king cake for the next gig.

Yep that's pretty much SOP....enjoy them while they are here.... Jimmy
