Just to follow up the LCP II (2) was too small for her when it came to racking a round and I didn't like the way it fit her hand. So she got the LC9 S ruger.com/products/lc9s/models.html7+1 of 9mm instead of 6 of 380 still only 17 oz but big enough it fits her hand and trigger finger and I don't know what they did to the trigger on the "s" model, but what ever it was the got it right. Just enough pull she can carry it cocked and locked, a little long for me but she likes it and she shoots it well Although she was shooting the 380 so she thinks the 9mm is too loud and kicks but not enough to bother her she has put 100 rounds through it and I have put another 100 without any issues shooting at 15 yards she keeps every hit inside a 6" ring and I can hit bulls eyes at 15 yards so that's good for its size and I got it out of the store at $401.00. I would definitely recommend it as anyone's back up and a good extreme conceal carry gun.

I keep checking my mailbox but that baretta still hasn't arrived. Hope you wrapped it as discreetly as the apple juice. I'll let you know as soon as it arrives safely. Lol

I have the LCP .380 which is my backup/ summer clothes gun easily concealed compared to my regular EDC carry .40 Glock model 27. Been pretty happy with it for what it is.

neighbor here got a LCP some time ago and we shot it some
I just never liked how it felt and how the trigger was terrible
when we were looking at guns for her I didn't even try out the LC9 s, because I didn't like the LCP, but the sales guy kept talking about how much better the "s" was than the older ones, so we tried it out and she liked it.
Here the gun store is also an indoor gun range so you can shoot whatever you are trying out before you buy it. They keep the most popular current models as range guns, then when a new model comes out they sell the used range guns.
Anyway! She likes it, she shoots it well and I think she will keep it handy which makes me happy, so all is right

I might say "it's in the mail" and ........... and "I'll still respect you in the AM" but i won't One thing about the baby Beretta is it is clean, no prior evil use, no paper trail, etc.

I got one magazine for it that is a 9 shot with a slide over extension. Nether of us like it much but She can put it in her purse as a second mag. It came with 2 each 7 round mags and I bought a speed loader for it and it needed it too, the mag springs are tight and the mags are so thin and small they are hard to hold and fight the rounds into them

I'm a 9mm/.357mag/.44mag guy, but the newer .380 self defense ammo simply cannot be dismissed. Palmetto has the original LCP on sale for $169. right now. If I weren't itching for a CZ Rami, I would likely make the plunge to a .380 just to have a really tiny pocket gun. On the other hand, the SR1911 (commander) fits my hand like a custome made glove.......
I know that not everyone will agree, but for me a pocket gun is just an up close and personal "get off me gun" - so a lousy trigger and weak accuracy at distance are acceptable trade offs. If you ask me to shoot accurately, I will reach for my GP-100 every time. I don't know how he did it, but Bill Ruger somehow sneaked an internal guidance system into that gun, but it isn't a pocket gun.
Stacey still prefers her tiny LCR-357 with .38 snake shot as round one (sometimes 2) with fast .38 Winchester PDX JHP's as round two and three and heavy magnum 158gr hollow points for the finish. Yes, she practices with it and yes the full house mag rounds hurt like heck. Her reasoning is that if the heavies are required, hand/wrist pain isn't the big problem.
