Okay I'd like to pass along a "receipe" that we used to use on our daughters' baby bottoms when they were small. Anyone that has ever had a kid with diaper rash knows the yelps of displeasure that can make you hurt for your child. We used this almost exclusively at a friend's suggestion, and what I've found is that for camping and backpacking they fold down well, take up little room, and can make life just a little better. And after all, isn't that the point?
We would take a roll of paper towels, the stronger the better, and cut them in the middle so that we had two rolls, roughly the same size, when torn, as TP. Then we would soak them in this mixture:
BTW T=Tablespoon
1.5 cups hot water 1T baby shampoo or bath soap 1T baby oil or mineral oil 1-2T baby lotion 1T white vinegar (for mold inhibition)
That's it. The best TP for babies ever devised (IMO) and a camper's delight, especially when, well you know, it's a choice between a sock, a palm frond, and that 3-leaved plant over there. Hope this helps someone and makes life on the trail just a bit easier.
(Hey Dink, thanks for encouraging me to share this !!)

My step mom used this with my sister and they never had any trouble and saved lots of money. She put it in a container with a hole in the lid then made a cap to fit over the hole so they wouldn't dry out.
