Well went to eye Dr this afternoon and got all bad news
once they got the letters on the chart in focus they looked like Celtic or some foreign language and just as I started to get them they seemed to be moving like snakes or something
so more testing showed scar tissue on center of retina, the lens has dropped more and now has a film on the backside
so I will have surgery to remove the film and scar tissue, if that doesn't work I will have another surgery to replace the existing lens and cornea.
Isee the retina Dr again on Friday, can't wait to see what bad news he will have

So very sorry WoodyZ. What awful news. More prayers are inbound. Gosh, I am truly sorry and hoping the next news is better.

After all the anxious waiting Woodyz you'd think something good would've come from it. Sorry to hear the disappointing news. Keeping you in my prayers for something to start looking up for you all the way around.
Tomorrow I see my Retina specialist, it's now three months since my surgery. More to follow after my visit.

Well I saw the retina dr on Friday
he thinks the retina is good and is not to prpblem
very seldom here one dr say another dr made a mistake but he said it
he also said if he could correct the mistake it was possible i could see out of the eye with corrective lens

so I had/have surgery scheduled for the 21st
now the eye Dr called and wants another Dr to look at me first
only thing I can figure is the eye Dr thought my retina was an issue, but I had a retina Dr since then and I suspect his report that the retina was good, has the eye Dr confused.
I think maybe I just have the wrong eye Dr.

So I had my eye Dr appointment so the two Dr's could both reach a "best" conclusion. They decided not to replace the cataract during this Th surgery 21st. But just do some laser clean up of scar tissue on the cornia and the retina and see how that works.
They seemed to be more positive with the out come today

So I had the surgery on the 21st. It gave me some improvement on the ends but not the middle. For example
E H SCRABBLED EGGS F G
Decided it is scar tissue on the center of my retina from the tear and it is what it is. I am about 250 on the chart, glasses will improve it to 80 and that's the best I can get.
good thin the right eye still works great, but as Thywar said in another post depth perception sucks
