So I guess I have the flu.
In my area, there have been more than 1,000 flu hospitalizations since March, 198 last week alone. There have been a total of 22 flu-associated deaths with three deaths reported last week.
I'm not that sick, It started Sat when I woke up I thought I might have strep in my throat, but it got better Sun. Now I have the flu symptoms with fever and all the other crap that comes with it
wife called our Dr and I can't get in until November, yes you read it right its June and I can't see my Dr for 5 months.
don't worry I'll just go to the ER if it gets worse.

WOW WoodyZ, it just keeps pouring on you. Funny you should mention the flu. My DD and SIL in Chicago had the shot but just 2 weeks ago got low grade fevers for a week with terrible joint aches, nausea, and all other flu-like symptom including the nagging hanging on cough at the end. (Otherwise I would worry about Lyme, but there is no deep cough with Lyme).
We both saw them last week as it was ending and commented that NO ONE thinks of the flu for NOW; it is always a winter thing.
Lots of fluids, rest and keep your feet up and relax.

Wow Woodyz. You're a veteran and can't see a dr. till November. That doesn't compute for me. What's the holdup?
Get better soon my friend.

I had the flu shot last winter, so maybe my flu will stay mild.
Starting yesterday afternoon I would sleep about four hours then wake up for awhile, no sense of time It felt like its been four days since I was at the eye dr but it was just yesterday.

Still praying...
I couldn’t get warm when I had pneumonia, probably the only time in my life I felt that way. The cats crowded around and on me, loving the effect of the fever and not caring that I disturbed them with the constant coughing. The one time I had flu, I was a small child and kept barfing all the secretions.
Don’t get dehydrated from your 97F and fever combo.

just don't know where all this snot comes from. Between what I blow out and cough up I'd bet it is a qt or more a day.
I take Lasix (furosemide) for CHF and I think it is helping get the water out of me.
They couldn't find a good vein until 4 tries so I know I was dehydrated then
Its been 8 days it should be going away soon.
