Is anyone out there shooting one of these? I have had one for several years now. It had jaming and stuck shell issues, so got shoved to the dark corners of the safe and forgotten. While on recovery stuck at home, was thinking of taking out for a chamber ream and polish. The A1 model has an extra heavy, thick barrel with phosphate coating making it really rough compared to my old 870's. Not my favorite 12 ga. Anyone else experienced this?

are the shells reloads? reused hulls one time too many can cause it.
the tactical a1 looks bad ass, but I don't have one, do have 5 or 6 870's
I'd say wrap a 3/4" wood dowel rod with a couple of layers of toilet paper and force it in the breech side of the barrel a few inches then pull it out and see what you get. If the 3/4" gets stuck you can always push it out with a 1/2" dowel from the front/top, its wood its not going to hurt it.
Brass or copper, rust, oil (doesn't take much of anything to make a shell stick) too much lube is as bad as not enough. just the tp may be enough, but
if anything shows up, wrap a 1/2" dowel with some very fine steel wool and swab it out.

No Woody, all new factory Winchester and Remington high brass. New gun, cleaned and lubed. I read that some were just too tight. I have a local gunsmith friend that I can drop it off to. LoL, I had even forgot I had it. Be a shame not to use it, but I got zero faith in it now. Will let ya know how it turns out.

Yes Mud, I did put it on an extra 10/22 seems to work good enough for the kids. Thanks by the way. As Dave says, "minute of pie plate is good enough". LoL

I looked at the 590A1 constantly, but reading this is making me wonder if I dodged a bullet. My Winchester 1300 Defenders haven't let me down yet.

I have a Model 1200 Riot
and a Ted Williams Model 200, which I cut down from both ends
and a 1300 defender, but in 20 ga
I used a 1200 defender in the USMC for a time, until we went to an auto-loader with a magazine
also used a Model 1897 riot in 20" in the USMC and as a civilian LEO
I prefer the pumps to auto as I tend to dbl tap with an auto
