we have people on here in Fl/GA/SC/NC who are going to be effected by this storm.
So keep us informed if you can and we will keep up our prayers.
Here in extreme western SC we are getting rain already. We will be right in the middle of the path just as it comes out of GA, but it will decrease before it gets to us.
However, our ground is soaked and we had ENE winds last week. Now we will get ESE Switching to SSE/SSW/S/SW/W/WNW and I don't see any possibilities we will not lose tree limbs, maybe trees and for sure power. Maybe even tornadoes.
I expect us to lose power sometime tonight and not get it back for several days. So if I am not on here, that will be why. I will return as soon as possible.
We have a generator and fuel for it, and have a separate breaker box it comes in to, with the essentials wired to it. But the last time we used it the surges were bad for the electronics, so I will not use them.

I already heard something about a tornado in GA. I hope everyone stays safe.

Prayers for all those in the path of this hurricane or experiencing backlash of any kind from it. Take care and God Bless! As soon as y'all are able, please check in.

We were pretty far from the center of the storm. A little breezy and wet. We did have at least five tornadoes touch down in the area. All is good in NE Florida.

It passed over us early this AM
Not as much wind or rain as expected
We are still having some wind but basically we dodged a bullet
No power loss here, but some within 25 miles
big mess in FL panhandle and south Georgia, pray for those areas

We never lost power, but 9000+ people in the area did.
I had one tree limb fall on the backyard fence, just a matter of lifting it off and pulling the wire back into shape.
I lost two pieces of lattice off the deck, both were in the yard and are reattached.
I got 25 sandbags from the county before the storm hit and didn't use them. Will put back for the next time.
Of the 7 houses in this complex, 3 are higher than my Sons, my house is the highest, the four that are lower had some issues with runoff water and should build a wall/dike to steer the water away from their house. Even a sandbag and plastic wall would help, but they seem to be clueless.
