Well here goes my most brazen post.
Last week I attended a "Well and Health" meeting at our local hospital. Guest speaker was informing us and answering questions in regards to medications.
Well this little eek and meek lady who appeared to be in her 80's, stood up and asked about "CBD Oil". I had never heard about it and it piqued my interest. The guest speaker said it was rather new and she wasn't as informed about it as she'd like to be. She told the little lady if it helped her arthritis she saw no harm in her taking it.
After the meeting I visited the health store where the lady said she bought hers. Hmmm, lots of choices. After a question and answer session with the owner I purchased a bottle of hemp oil gel caps, 50 mg.
My hip had been bothering me for weeks along with my knees and right arm. At bedtime I took one capsule. During the night while going to the bathroom I noticed my hip no longer hurt. My knee pain is lightening up a lot and my arm pain is barely noticeable too.
I intend on continuing to take a daily dosage. Primary care doc said if it helps he doesn't see why I shouldn't take them to help myself. Endocrinologist agreed also.
The reason I'm mentioning this is because had I known about this option I would never had had my knee replacement because it still has arthritis and hurts more than my other knee I didn't have surgery do on and it has limited me doing even simple things I was doing before such as kneeling on it and stooping. Even raising my knee over my lap to tie my shoe is a problem. I so regret having that knee replacement surgery.
Is there anyone else here who is doing this to help with arthritic pain?

What an interesting topic. I know nothing about this. I too have severe arthritis in my knees only it doesn't hurt. They can't believe it. But I have a completely torn rear meniscus which at some point will force me into a knee replacement. They say. I'm going to investigate what you just told us. Thank you so much!

There are so many ways hemp/cannabis/herbs can help buy big pharma loses money. I’ve read that Monsanto and Bayer are moving big into CBD business.

I believe more people are beginning to think along the lines of helping themselves when it comes to situations where big brother keeps walking all over them by reaching out to outside sources for comfort of pain rather than over the counter prototypes and I can't say I blame them cuz they're putting on hefty price on the items. People living on limited income can afford it better seeking outside sources.

I had a former co-worker go through a ration of S*#& because of that very issue. The thing that saved his arse was having the original container tested independently at his own expense, that and a good lawyer.

Hmm ya know I've been hearing about CBD oil for a while now but never really did any research on it.
But my father has some severe arthritis and hearing what you guys are saying, it might be something I could look into for him. Long retired so I'm guessing any contamination and subsequent drug testing shouldnt be too much of an issue.

I'm so glad I decided to post this thread. Again, learning more about the effects and also others are finding an outlet to consider to help arthritic pain. Pass the word along is all I can say and remember if you're still employed don't chance using hemp oil unless you're ready for a battle like CWI's friend was faced with.

I have a relative who markets this sort of thing. I have asked her if it's ok to post a link to her business on here. For those of you who are on my list at Facebook, her name is Tamela Trujillo. I think it's ok to tell you that much. She's my recently discovered niece, the daughter of the stepsister I've never met and only found a year or so ago. FYI, Tamela wouldn't even touch this product if she wasn't convinced it was the safest on the market, because Tamela is in the medical profession and has an excellent reputation. I'll let you know as soon as I hear anything.
