Sometimes I wonder why the fitness gurus don't mimic old school tools like that. They would definitely keep a person in shape that regularly used them.

I used one of those about a year ago on either side of my 100 yard driveway. I had forgotten about those muscles and after banging on a few grass buried rocks was glad I had my boots on.

We have one of those..! Don't use it anymore, it takes more muscle to swing than either of us have any more. Used it yesterday rather than cranking the weedeater. Arm and shoulder a bit sore this morning.

I literally just laughed out loud. Before I scrolled down I saw a woman sitting on a Kobota tractor and thought "she better not hear him call her old fashioned".........then I scrolled down.
I use one of those when I canoe camp - some less traveled placed are pretty over grown.

We have gone through several of those. Love them. BUT, If you're not careful and you have hit enough rocks, the head flies off and gets lost forever in your forest. Not that I actually had that happen… 😬

Not that I actually had that happen… 😬 One of those is part of my juvenile record. I was using one in a ditch when the head busted off and flew into the rear glass of a passing sheriffs car. He didn't want to believe it was an accident.
