I'm guessing about 54 quarts for just over 3 bushel. Got to clean more jars.

Now that is great! What kind of shelf life would you anticipate?

Now that is great! What kind of shelf life would you anticipate? We've eaten them 3 years old. However with 4 boys and their families we usually finish them off in a year. Got 49 quarts so far and a 5 gal bucket full to go ...... TOMORROW!!! Started at 0500 and will pull the last canner around 2030 or 2100. Geez, and I'm scheduled for a heart cath Aug 5. Probably don't really need it Oh, we did 120 quarts in 2017. We had to get rid of some of those in the Church Harvest Sale. They went for 5 bucks a quart. That's approx $90 a bushel. Counting the labor that's a give away price.

Whoa - you sneaked that cath lab visit in there. What's the scoop?

Whoa - you sneaked that cath lab visit in there. What's the scoop? Triple CABG 14 years ago. Recent abnormal nuclear stress test. Followup with heart cath. Best guess one (or both) of the grafted veins will require a stent. Vein effectiveness drops off about 10% per year so I got lucky I guess. Edit: Ended up with 60 quarts - 5 cases

Scary as heck, but it sounds like you have done well considering the 14 years since the bypasses. I will be pulling for you and extra sets of prayers never hurt.
BTW: 60 quarts is great!

Praying for a great outcome with the heart cath.
All I could think of was the kids rhyme (yes, I know they are the wrong kind of beans) was "Beans, beans they're good for the heart. The more you eat the more you.................."

Praying for your heart cath procedure. Great looking beans, congrats on 60 quarts. That's a lot of work but a lot of good food.

Triple CAB G in 2006 they pulled the vein from my left leg and cut it to size and have learned pulling the vein breaks the valves and they don't last

OK, Current count on green beans is 138 qts canned. Wife picked another 5 gal bucket (overflowing) full today and is snapping (some call it breaking) them now. That'll most likely be another 18-20 qts. However, I've told the DW that I'm THROUGH canning. Another, however, I'll most likely do as I'm told . . . you know how that goes.
